I remember seeing so many women on Twitter defending Love in Deepspace tracking their periods as "making them feel loved" and all that BS. So it's really funny seeing some of those same women being disgusted when Vtuber fans and otakus does the same thing. Good for the rich, bad for the poor type of beat

Does anyone else find this VTuber ovulation tracker funny? I don't know if it's drama or if autistic people are making assumptions about women's bodies.

Had the potential to be a decent ongoing degenerate shitpost, we could've had a VtuberPeriodTracker account commiting to the bit & all that considering all the vtubers that WILLINGLY drop that info & doubled down on it after finding out this was a thing, sure it would require putting more thoughts into it but at least everyone involved is cool with it

But nah they had to make it weird(er) by adding everyone regardless of their opinions on it.

Not only that, but a good chunk of them were added for merely mentioning abdominal cramps once on a random day, etc, so it's not even remotely accurate for a lot of them

I don't think they are surprised, but I think they're probably very, VERY weirded out by both the fact that terminally online creeps are trying to keep track of their cycles without their consent, and the fact that those same creeps are publicly admitting to doing so.

I don't know if it's just me but menstrual cycle is one of the things that kind of grossed me out. I mean i can handle g0re but menstrual cycle... Nah it just feels weird to me. I know it's normal biological thingy but still kinda gross to me.

Imo, I think there's so potential misogyny you should unpack here if you feel that way. Dig a little deeper and ask yourself why are you grossed out by it even if it's a normal function of the female body.
A lot of us socially taught that menstruation is gross and women should be shameful when talking about them even though they never asked for it. This put a lot of pressure on women for existing in the society wants them to, having the ability to get pregnant.

I mostly find it strange and off-putting. I am confused as to why this is a big deal, but when Love in Deep Space did it, it was charming and amusing?

it seem obvious because love and deep space target demographic are cis women and also the player have the agency to decide if they want to participate or not
