Wasn’t aware it was that thread.
If they share hidden gems I don’t think it would be a big deal to post here either.
There’s just too much crap, promoting “classmates” OF or asking for content, not posting anything but a link to OF or Instagram.

If it is quality content, a bit of a story and at least some content it will already be much more acceptable.
Like the person who came across someone they knew, put in effort with a bit of a story and she was a fit hot wife.
Not many people would complain about finds like that!

The low effort/promotional stuff should be deleted: “omg I just found this chick I went to school with, can someone post content?? Or I know this girl here’s the link, see for yourself.”
If it’s someone you know a good rule would be: create a thread, post actual content from OF (not just Instagram) and it has to be more than just a link.

Nah it wouldn't be an issue, but you have to remember too this is a global forum so other countries don't always get the right connotation when writing/posting. I know, kind of a blight of an argument but that's what I use to justify the low level posting. Hell half the people in regular threads still can't follow the simple rule of "STFU unless you're actually posting content". So it's always going to be a challenge especially in discussion threads.

This was created at least 2 times before and both times the mods delete the non celeb ones because of the risk of people being doxed, what doesnt make sense is why they allow them to be post in here

Well since I keep notifications, here's my two cents on the posting of girls you know:

When it's like the last guy who was just like "These two girls I went to high school with made OFs" and the threads didn't exist/didn't have any actual content posted yet, that felt lazy and like a lowkey attempt to get us to fulfill his request.

When there's some actual backstory included it makes a huge difference. "I went to high school with this girl. She was obsessed with Hello Kitty and used to bark people and dated this weird guy who smelled like cheese" adds to it and makes the surprise actually make a bit more sense beyond the initial shock of "I know her" and actually gives the people who don't know her something to be interested in. Bonus points when a thread actually exists with some of the content but I think the backstory is a big factor. It's the same for that "Girls who got progressively sluttier" thread. Just a link? Boring. A story of how she got progressively sluttier? Interesting.
