I don't think that the intent is to merge the two. Typically, VR scenes using an alpha channel are in a fisheye format with the alpha mask living in the black space between the fisheye views. The primary scene is not fisheye. So, there is no place to put the alpha mask into the primary track. This appears to be something similar to the .hsp (heresphere) files that CzechVR uses for their passthrough. For CzechVR, the "rule" is that the .hsp file needs to have the same name as the video file, but with a .hsp suffix rather than .mp4.

ARPorn recommends Play'A. So it's likely a file that is compatable with that software. I couldn't find any instructions on the VRPorn website. I haven't looked at the Play'A website.

I like the premise he's proposing though. If there was the original video in full color (fisheye format) with whatever the background is (scenery, house, back yard, etc.) but they have the alpha masking where it exists in the black space of the fisheye videos. In essence you would be able to select alpha packed and effectively erase the background without having to use monotone colors that the usual alpha packed videos have for the background.

Usually they have the scene filmed in that gray/blue room or in the case of CzechVR a green room and then they use that mono color to key out the background and use that data to make the alpha mask. They also sometimes have scenes filmed in a regular set and they have the alpha mask but for whatever reason they make the background set black and white and the model in color. So there's no option to watch it in non-passthrough mode because if you do the only thing that's in color is the girl. Everything else in the set, the couch, the chair the floor, everything is black and white.

One video that I have encountered that has that format would be PassthroughVR_Little_Do_They_Know_Passthrough_8K_FISHEYE190_ALPHA with Molly Little, I haven't found a version where the background is in color and the alpha mask is present. The only version I have is black and white background with alpha mask, the set has no color and it's not the monotone colored set with the dude wearing a morphsuit with the same color.

It works great. I don't particularly like is as a passthrough scene. But, if I tell Heresphere to ignore the alpha channel, it works great as a regular VR scene.

Nice find. I hadn't downloaded this one because she wears a mask, not fond of girls who hide their face. But I'll give this one a watch since the file isn't that big.

I would generally avoid the Meta browser. Do everything through VirtualDesktop. Read the thread.

Our captain, errananna, has explained the best methods for accessing VR180. His method is more secure than mine.

you're right. Through commedia vr video player it worked.
But I was specifically referring to watching them through heresphere.
